With the exception of
Anthony Jr. who began
his career at Le Perigord
Restaurant in New York,
later relocating to California
to open Bobby Rubino's in
San Francisco, the restaurant
business was new to the
Scottos when they opened
Fresco's doors in 1993. "When
we first started talking about
opening a restaurant here,
Anthony agreed to come back
to New York to be a part of
the business," Marion says.
"Like any mother, I loved the
idea of having all my kids close
by and if opening a restaurant
is what we had to do to make
that happen, I was going to
do whatever it took to make
it happen." And happen it
did, with exponential success
not far behind. Today, the
business has grown to include
Fresco On e Go. Headed
by Elaina, Fresco On e Go
is a popular offshoot of the
restaurant offering a take out
menu as well as providing
catering for many of the areas
toniest events. As the official
backstage caterer for all Live
Nation concert venues in the
Tri-State Area and with a
strong presence at the Barclay
Center, Fresco On e Go has
fed everyone from Sir Paul
McCartney to Beyonce to the
New York Nets.
