www.privateairny.com Private Air New York | Spring 2015 90 AVIATION Cessna Citation CJ3+ Cessna, the company that has been making small aircraft for over 85 years, recently won approval from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) for its Cessna Citation CJ3+, a recent upgrade Cessna made to its Citation. is upgrade includes switching the cockpit from Rockwell Collins avionics to a more integrated Garmin G300 Intrinzic avionics suite with touchscreen controls. e aircraft also includes advanced maintenance and diagnostic systems and turbulence-detecting weather radar. e $8.44 million jet seats up to nine passengers and boasts a fully automatic pressurization system. e Citation CJ3+ offers computer-sculpted wing design said to reduce drag and improve handling, and two Williams International FJ44-3A turbofan engines. Other features include Iridium phones, a wireless media server, high-speed internet, and LED cabin lights with full dimming capabilities. e jet travels at a cruise speed of up to 416 mph and can carry a half of ton of baggage which would of course, include your golf clubs.
