PRIVATE AIR NEW YORK As this issue was going to press, I was in Manhattan attending press previews for the new collections by Stephanie Kantis, Fairchild Baldwin, and Adriana Castros among others. While perusing fabulous jewelry and exquisite leather goods is itself enough to take my breath away, on this balmy day what truly turned my head was how spring had sprung all over the city. On Park Avenue, pink blooms erupted from the trees, sidewalk cafes were bustling and instead of rushing to their next appointment, New Yorkers were finding whatever excuse they could to be outside. In Manhattan, when those first vestiges of spring start to appear it can mean only one thing – summer season in the Hamptons is right around the corner. As any savvy New Yorker knows, from late May through early September the Hamptons serve as the city's indisputable – albeit offsite – social epicenter and in this issue, we'll inspire you to celebrate in style with a peek into some of the area's most exclusive summer rentals. And just in case you needed more motivation to trade hot city streets for cool coastal breezes, have we mentioned that Wings Air Helicopters can take you from Midtown to Gabreski, Southampton, East Hampton or Montauk in an hour or less - which means less time in traffic and more time with your toes in the sand? So pour the rosé, raise a glass, and let's make a toast to bid winter a fond farewell and welcome the start of a glorious spring. Cheers! Gina Samarotto Senior Editor, Private Air New York
