In a city already so lusciously extravagant, the challenge lies in creating an allure that keeps Dubai's magic alive. at challenge is readily met, seemingly without effort, in the most exclusive area of the glittering metropolis, the Palm Islands. A quintessentially elite playground, ground broke for the original Palm Island – Palm Jumeirah – a mere fifteen years ago. In that relatively short period of time, it became THE posh address among posh addresses with a standard of luxury by which others are judged. Its sister island Palm Deira and two other archipelagos loftily named e World and e Universe soon followed, and the world had a new global capital of indulgence. Sitting, quite literally, at the top of the Palm is the jewel otherwise known as Atlantis e Palm. e first luxury resort to open on the lauded island, the behemoth 1539 room temple to awe and indulgence welcomed its first guests in 2008. Far from resting on the laurels that come with such a covetable address, the resort has consistently reinvented the concept of entertaining well-heeled guests in a way that has delighted each and every discerning traveler to enter into the underwater-themed wonderland over the past eight years. Walking through the grand entrance, the first thing to greet guests at the Atlantis is the breathtaking work by world-renown artist Dale Chihuly. Standing eighteen meters high, Chihuly's glistening glass tower of flora, fauna, and mystical sea creatures is a soaring centerpiece rising from within an infinity edged fountain. Collectively, the stunning art installation succinctly illustrates the Nautilus-like aura that abounds throughout the resort and serves as a memorable welcome to the world of Atlantis. In addition to the guest services one would expect in a resort of this caliber, the main reception area is also home to the Royal Majilis, a more intimate space dedicated to welcoming VIPs, Imperial Club guests as well as guests to the Atlantis' unique signature suites. Once arrived in one of the resort's signature suites, the sense that one has truly arrived is unmistakable. Guests to the Royal Bridge Suite can enjoy the more than three thousand square feet of sprawling space or drink in the breathtaking views of Palm Jumeirah and beyond from the sprawling terraces. In addition to three bedrooms including a master suite featuring his and her baths and a mirrored, canopied bed, the Royal Bridge Suite also offers guests the ability to enjoy a spa treatment in the seclusion afforded by a private, in-suite massage room, or entertain in the lavishly designed living and dining spaces.
