Fashioned entirely by hand and with the company's
legendary 6.75 litre twin-turbo V8 engine from the flagship
Mulsanne under the hood, Bentley claim the new Grand
Convertible is the most sophisticated open-top car they've
produced.
"This demonstrates Bentley's ability to create a pinnacle
convertible Grand Tourer, while embodying elegance beyond
compare," says the company's chairman and CEO Wolfgang
Dürheimer, who unveiled the new model in Los Angeles
last year. "With this car we combine the opulent Mulsanne
experience with the full sensory indulgence of open-air
touring, continuing to unite luxury and performance in
new ways."
The Bentley Grand Convertible is due to ship to showrooms
by the close of 2015. Prices are still not confirmed, but for
reference a base Mulsanne costs about $300,000, so expect
the Convertible to cost a great deal more.
