PLANNING A HOLIDAY JAUNT TO ASPEN? GET READY
TO ROAR IN THESE RUGGED-MEETS-REFINED PIECES.
P
erhaps no collection defines the new
luxe in menswear quite like Fendi's
showing for Fall/Winter 2014-15.
Silvia Venturini, the storied Italian
label's creative director and a third-
generation member of the Fendi family, used as her
inspiration the raw materials that have long been
considered iconic elements of the house: supple
leathers, the softest cashmere fibers, and of course its
liberal use of fur. is season Venturini spun these
signature wares into a collection that was equal parts
luxurious and modernist, from the streamlined biker
jackets (including one fantastic version in mock
crocodile) over slim pants to the bold, computer-
driven graphics that adorned the sweaters, or the
lush fox furs worn over tweed coats and wrapped
about the throat.
is highly tactile mix had us envisioning our
favorite upscale destination this time of year:
Aspen. No matter whether you ski or just prefer
making an entrance at Matsuhisa or the Sky Hotel's
39 Degrees, you'll need that perfect balance of
sophisticated with a touch of high-altitude chic.
Here, two looks from Fendi's runway, mixed with an
array of sensational accessories.
