ince its birth more than
25 years ago, Swedish
automobile manufacturer
Koenigsegg has created the
ultimate in performance cars. Its latest
offering is the Koenigsegg Gemera,
a plug-in hybrid Grand Tourer (GT)
and the first four-seater car built by the
company. e GT is also powered by a
compact ending weighing roughly only
154 pounds; that is so small because it
is a camless piston engine, the first used
in a production car. A hybrid vehicle,
the Koenigsegg Gemera also has three
electric motors.
e Gemera's architecture boasts a
robust structure that takes inspiration
from early Koenigsegg designs.
However, it's a complete surprise when
the door opens to reveal an impressive
four-seater space that offers equal ease
of access for front and rear passengers.
e Gemera maintains recognizable
Koenigsegg traits such as the wrap-
around jet fighter-inspired windshield,
the hidden A-pillars, short overhangs,
and the large side air intakes.
