Patek Philippe Unveils
New Sky Moon Tourbillon
Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe has been crafting resplendent timekeeping devices for more than 170 years.
Its latest unveiling, the Sky Moon Tourbillon 6002, marks perhaps its greatest achievement to date.
The new model phases out its predecessor, the 5002, and boasts 12 'complications' on two distinct dials.
The front dial indicates standard time, and features a perpetual calendar with retrograde date, while the rear
dial focuses on astronomical functions, including the angular progression and phases of the moon.
And when it comes to aesthetics, the 6002 is a masterclass in watchmaking. The engraver has molded the
white gold case in bas-relief, while working with a chisel to create intricate detailing all over. The face – blue
enamel in champlevé and cloisonné – lends the Sky Moon Tourbillon 6002 a singularly elegant appearance.
As Patek Philippe rightly claims, this is not merely a watch: it is a sculpture for the wrist.
