imono has influenced global fashion since Japan opened
their work to the world in the late 19th Century. e
motifs used to decorate kimono fabrics, the forms and
silhouette of the two-dimensional linear cut, and structure
has tailored itself to a wide array of garments. New
possibilities in clothing design featuring works from the world-renowned
collections of fashion icons such as John Galliano, Sarah Burton for
Alexander McQueen, Iris van Herpen, and Issey Miyake.
