To enter, one simply steps in as if they were stepping onto some impossibly sumptuous stage. Once guests are settled into the silk clad, banquette-like seats of the 103EX the doors and canopy will silently close, enveloping her occupants in an impossibly exclusive world lauded by Rolls-Royce as a 'Grand Sanctuary'. e process is reversed for the 'Grand Arrival'. Upon delivering her occupants to their destination, the glass canopy lifts and the door sweeps open while a step emerges from below the running board. Completing the arrival with dramatic flourish, a red light designed to resemble a carpet unfurls from the underside of the step in a dramatic display of welcome. As with all Rolls-Royce motor cars, throughout the 103EX one will find distinctive nods to a life well lived. Concealed exterior panels open to release compartments designed to accept bespoke luggage before it is silently sequestered back out of sight – if only all of life's baggage could be so readily hidden. Fully prepared for the harsh realities of the world beyond the nurturing cocoon of the 103EX; the motor car exemplifies comfort and convenience down to the most minute detail, including umbrellas that recede into sockets when not in use. Of the 103Ex, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said, "Today, Rolls-Royce, the world's leading luxury brand, has defined the future of luxury mobility. e Grand Arrival of the Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100 boldly points to a bright future for our marque where our patrons' individual demands for complete and authentic personalisation will be met through an exquisite fusion of technology, design and hallmark Rolls-Royce craftsmanship." "With the Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100 we were mindful not to dwell on the past. We wanted to be as innovative as possible and at the same time transcend the design history of the marque". Giles Taylor, Director of Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
