In Mexico From e Inside Out, Olvera shares stunning images of his creations, recipes for some of the legendary dishes that put Pujol on the map and a smattering of the cerebral Chef 's rather philosophical musings. e book "Is not meant to be a manifesto," Olvera reveals from within its preface, "but rather a means so that others can take a look at our world…" Food for thought, that, and indeed it would seem that Olvera is equally committed to nourishing both body and soul. Further expanding his entrepreneurial reach while exponentially expanding his appeal, Olvera's newest endeavor is bringing him back to Mexico; this time with ompson Hotels. e luxury hotel group known for their metropolitan locations has recently announced the opening of their first Mexican resort, e Cape. Located near the southernmost tip of the Baja California Sur Peninsula, e Cape – and with it Olvera's newest restaurant, Manta - is a recent addition to the idyllic luxury of Cabo San Lucas. e collaboration seamlessly blends Olvera's brand of fine Mexican cuisine with ompson's somewhat edgy urban aesthetic to create a delicious, retro inspired, 1960s Southern California-meets-Baja resort overlooking the Pacific. Utilizing the combined talents of Mexican architects Javier Sánchez and Benedikt Fahlbusch of JSa Arquitectura, as well as Arquitectura de Interiores' Marisabel Gómez Vázquez, and celebrated ceramicist Jose Noé Suro; e Cape resort is a veritable wonderland of form meeting function in one of Mexico's most covetable and spectacularly beautiful destinations.
