Even those who've never stepped foot inside the
restaurant or its sister operation Fresco on the
Go, tend to feel as if they know the Scottos from
somewhere – and with good reason. Rosanna
has been in New Yorker's living rooms for nearly
thirty years as a member of the WNYW-FOX
5 News Team and the entire clan can often be
seen whipping up homemade classics during
various cooking segments and are a fixture on
the Today Show, among others – their collective,
significant airtime no doubt playing a large role
as to why Fresco's is jokingly referred to as the
"NBC Commissary." e popularity Fresco's
enjoys among the network crowd is illustrated by
the scores of framed portraits that line the walls
of the restaurant and the veritable who's who of
personalities that are regulars in the dining room.
"We've always had a wonderful lunch crowd,"
Marion explains. "We're close to the studios and
the offices in midtown so it's a convenient spot
for lunch for them. We'll see a lot of our regulars
three or four times a week."
